Every country. Every project. Every conference. 47817.org now powers GlobalClimateMonth.org, a new home for climate action in every country where Rotary serves and in every U.S. state.
Two websites, one movement
- GlobalClimateMonth.org is where you find what is happening. Each of 242 countries and areas, and all 50 states plus DC, has its own Climate Month page with a map of local projects and a calendar of environmental events and conferences. Pages are in English plus Spanish, or English plus each country’s main language.
- 47817.org is where you share your project. Submit once, choose the Global Climate Month program, and your project appears here in the Project Library and automatically on its state or country map on GlobalClimateMonth.org.
How it works
- Submit your project on 47817.org. One form, about 15 minutes.
- Our team reviews it and writes your 4-7-8-17 Report Card.
- Your project appears on the right Climate Month map, next to the conferences and events in your country.
- People nearby find you, and clubs on the other side of the world can copy, improve or join your work.
Know a climate conference or environmental event we should list? Mention it when you submit, and we will add it to the right country page.
The Top 10 projects of 2026
GlobalClimateMonth.org also features the Top 10 climate projects of 2026, each with its own page. Number one, The Panama Project, was the first to earn a perfect 4/4, 7/7, 8/8 and 17/17. In full disclosure, the Panama Project and 47817.org are both run by the Rotary Club of Newport Beach, and we used this platform as a coaching tool to improve the project until it passed the Four-Way Test and addressed all 7 Areas of Focus, all 8 Pillars of Positive Peace and all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. That is exactly how we hope every club will use it.
Now taking applications for 2027
In 2027, 47817.org will showcase 365 projects, one every day, from more than 200 countries. Submit your climate project today, or read how Global Climate Month works.
